Ed grew up in the Northeast of England and completed his medical degree at Imperial College London, graduating with an MBBS and a BSc in Healthcare Management. He began his medical career in York, where he completed his foundation training across a variety of specialties including General Practice, Psychiatry, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and General Surgery.
Ed moved to New Zealand five years ago to experience a different healthcare system and to seek a better work-life balance. Since then, he has worked in several hospitals across Auckland and Hawke’s Bay, gaining experience in General Medicine, Community Paediatrics, and General Surgery.
He made the transition into General Practice in 2023 and is passionate about providing comprehensive, community-based care. His special interests include Men’s Health and General Medicine, and he is planning further training in Dermatology to complement his work as a GP.
Outside of medicine, Ed enjoys trail running, cooking, and exploring the more remote parts of Aotearoa. He is engaged and now calls the Auckland region home.
