Liz Louw and her husband, Pierre, made the decision to move from South Africa to New Zealand, arriving in Auckland on November 8th, 2023. They have been married for almost 14 years, and their greatest blessings are their two beautiful daughters, Lara and Aviana. The family now resides in Silverdale, a location that is conveniently close to Weiti Creek Clinic, where Liz works as the HIP on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. She is also available to assist at the Millwater and Silverdale Clinics as needed.
Liz began her career in 2011 as an IO Psychology intern in the South African Defence Force. In 2012, she was appointed as a uniformed member and worked with the 7 Medical Battalion Group, which is part of the South African Military Health Services division. This environment ignited her passion for supporting others who are experiencing mental health challenges.
The military also introduced Liz to one of her favourite hobbies, skydiving, which she continued to pursue at civilian clubs. In addition to skydiving, Liz enjoys running and taking long walks along the beautiful beachside walkways.
